Core Values

The Rome TEA Party is composed of working citizens of Floyd County Georgia (and some neighboring counties) who are deeply concerned about the sharp left turn that our country has taken.  We are doctors, lawyers, business people, housewives, factory workers, teachers, teens, and retirees. We are all registered to vote and do so at every opportunity with the intent of reducing the out of control spending and massive size that our government has grown accustomed to.

As a group of Americans who love our country dearly, we have come to realize that the election of politicians can no longer operate in the “business as usual” mode.  Time after time ‘We the People’ have endorsed or elected politicians to an office based on campaign promises, only to discover too late that those words were empty rhetoric intended only to gain votes.  We have determined that the time has come in which would-be politicians must be held accountable for their words in a tangible way. We also recognize the need to make certain that we are electing candidates whose intentions are to build America rather than tear her to pieces.

To that end, we have carefully crafted a one page statement of our Core Values as a TEA Party. We invite every elected official and every candidate to express their endorsement of our Core Values in order to guide voters to the best possible candidate for the next election.
